Structure Design, Performance Simulation and Plasticizing Properties of Bio-Based Copolyesters Plasticizer on PVC

Plasticizer is an important assistant in the production process of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which can effectively improve plasticity PVC. However, durability and plasticizing effect traditional phthalate plasticizers need to be further improved. In this paper, a variety copolyesters are designed synthesized from succinic acid, hexanediol other four different diols. The performance copolyester characterized by FT-IR, H-NMR, XPS DMA. It found that side chain groups structural units have great influence on its properties. glass transition temperature PVC plasticized polybutylene succinate 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol ester (PSCH) 8.1 ℃ lower than DOP, elongation at break increased 104.7%. obtained plasticizer with flexible long alkane chains polar C–Cl shows improved solvent extraction resistance better compatibility between compared DOP. verified hydrogen bonding interaction C=O group α-hydrogen exhibited solubility parameters DS main reason for effective efficiency PSCH
